In December my husband and I volunteer to wrap and deliver gifts for a San Pedro Kiwanis project. (He’s a member, I just help out.) Here we are wrapping away.

People have various ways was to mark the end of summer. I know there’s the official solstice, but I will call today the end because the loons are long gone and our high temperature fell from the 70s to 49 degrees. It’s raining and sure doesn’t invite one outdoors.

Many thanks to my hometown of East Jordan, Michigan. As a vendor at the Portside Arts Fair, I had the best day I’ve every had at a fair, festival or famers market. It was fun to share my new book with so many friendly people.

Husband, dog and I arrived safely back in my hometown Saturday, after experiencing:
a freeway closed because of dust storms
lots of rain,
two roads closed because of damaged bridges, and
many, very long construction zones.

Arrived in town at 6:45 AM to get a good spot for my booth. With help from several people, I got the canopy and the banner in place. Hope the 35-mile-an-hour winds we had for a signing in Arizona don’t show up here.
