Many thanks to my hometown of East Jordan, Michigan. As a vendor at the Portside Arts Fair, I had the best day I’ve every had at a fair, festival or famers market. It was fun to share my new book with so many friendly people.

During the Highland Festival in Alma, Michigan, Suzanne Malpass Rogers will be signing her books at the College Corner, 328 W. Superior from 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2017.

Writing children’s books has become Rogers’ very unexpected retirement career. She writes a series of true animal stories with happy endings under her maiden name, Suzanne M. Malpass. Each book is illustrated by Trish Morgan, a wonderful Charlevoix watercolor artist. Books are available on Rogers’ website straddlebooks.com, in many stores in Michigan and Arizona, as well as on mascotbooks.com, barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com. The One-Week-Old Fawn: A True Story is soon to be released.

The books are:

Stony’s Tale: A True Tombstone Story (sold out)

Rusty Tries Growing Up: A True Eastern Shore Story

A Lab’s Tale (takes place in East Jordan)

Colorado, the Flying Horse: A True Arizona Story

Where’s Our Siamese: A True Story (takes place in Charlevoix)

Bonita Finds a Forever Home: A True Story

The Cochise County Cat: A True Arizona Tale

We Were So Lucky

Last Saturday Christmas on Main  took place as planned in downtown Benson, Arizona. The day was sunny and fairly warm, without a hint of rain. I didn’t set up my canopy because I figured the sun would feel good. The canopy of the woman next to me blew over, so it was a good decision. People seemed to like my books and I sold quite a few.

High Hopes About My First Book Launch Tomorrow.

Here’s hoping lots of the people, who were invited by postcard, who saw flyers various places or whose children brought home flyers from their schools, will show up tomorrow. It’ll be fun with the meet and greet, the sheriff reading the new book, the raffles and the refreshments. I’ll just say a few words to thank the people, who made the launch possible, and those who have supported my writing career with encouraging words and/or buying my books.
